The talented team at Hand to Mouse in Japan turned to Lightwave 3D to create "Sleep Tight My Baby, Cradled in the Sky," an animated independent film set to premiere at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival on February 26.

The Annual LightWave Holiday Challenge has drawn to a close! This year there was a dead heat for the winning image--one traditional, the other futuristic. The judging ended in a tie, which means there are two winners: Lorenzo Zitta (Futuristic) and Nads Ads (Traditional). Both artists will receive LightWave 2015, ChronoSculpt and NevronMotion for their winning entries.

Jeff Scheetz, founder of the DAVE School, has kicked off a campaign that is designed to help his graduates create a 3D feature length animated film around a former class project called NASA Seals. The first ever LightWave Space Command Challenge received entries from around the world -- and after long and careful review of all the entires, the Space Command Judges have chosen the winners! Because there were so many stellar entries, they added an extra winner and many honorable mentions. The winners' spaceships will be featured in Space Command, along with screen credit. They will also receive a suite of software from the LightWave 3D Group.
