Halloween Competition

The Halloween Competition is back for 2024 and is now open to all LightWave 3D users.

You can submit your entries now up until the closing date of October 25th 2024.

Submissions end at 23:59 (BST).

The competition has one general category – Halloween, so think spooky, creepy and all things scary.

Rules

Create a Halloween themed submission, using LightWave3D®. It can be any scene, the choice is yours.

Your entry must be either a 3D-rendered image or an animation. The environment should be made in 3D; we permit the use of HDRI for sky / Illumination and textures.

The work must not have been previously published anywhere, either online or offline. It must be original art created by you specifically for the challenge (no existing projects, stock models or concepts made by other artists).

You can submit more than one piece of work.

LightWave Logo

Please include the LightWave Logo into your design.

Demands for your render:

The render should be at least full HD, 1920 x 1080 (Full HD).

The work can be in any style you like. There are no limits to your creative ideas.

Any content with adult, erotic and political topics will not be admitted in the competition.

By entering the competition, you agree for your work to be published on the competition page and used in LightWave marketing and promotion. Once the competition has closed, feel free to share your work on other websites and social networks.

Final renders must be created using LightWave3D® native render, Octane for LightWave3D® or UnReal Engine.

Third-party sculpting plugins/applications are allowed in Production.

Final submissions must be emailed to deuce.bennett@lightwave3dx.com

Further points:

The general view for the competition is to see what you can create using LightWave as much as possible. Feel free to use colour grading, etc. etc. as you see fit. Stock models for background items should be fine, again it comes back to, "We want to see what you can create using LightWave" as much as possible.
