The creation of the “Space Shuttle Atlantis” recently won the award for “Outstanding Visual Effects in a Special Venue Project” at the 2014 Visual Effects Society (VES) Awards. LightWave 3D played a key role in the massive production pipeline of the Atlantis project; it was used for 3D modeling, animation and rendering.

In the James Bond thriller Skyfall, a Merlin helicopter crashes into a building and is engulfed in flames and smoke.
