The LightWave 3D Group is going big again at SIGGRAPH 2013 (booth 303), July 23-25 in Anaheim, Calif. Using the latest NewTek TriCaster system, we will once again be streaming live from SIGGRAPH, showcasing dynamic artists and new technology from the LightWave 3D Group. In addition to some stellar speakers and presentations, this year we will have some pretty amazing giveaways for some lucky (and attentive) audience participants! Syfy's "Defiance" Hits Hollywood

The LightWave 3D Group has teamed up with DMALA (Digital Motion and Animation LA User Group) the week before SIGGRAPH to feature LightWave Artist Sean Jackson and his work on the hit Syfy television series "Defiance." Go behind the scenes to see how LightWave 11.5 helped define the VFX production pipeline to meet the demanding deadlines of television production. And, there will be some pretty great door prizes, too. The event is FREE and is being held at the Barnsdale Theater in Hollywood, Tuesday July 16 at 7:00 pm. Freebies at SUNRISE

Japan-based SUNRISE, Inc. certainly knows how to keep an audience entertained with award-winning movies and animated shots that couple the art of traditional anime with 21st century CG technology like LightWave. Now the talented group at SUNRISE has released several free downloadable Windows plug-ins for LightWave that are available at the Dstorm website.
