In each case, qualified individuals may purchase a maximum of one educational license for their own personal, non-commercial use.

The educational copy is the full product, not a limited version of the product as is common for the educational licenses of many other products.

However, the educational license may not be used for commercial work or transferred/sold to another person.

One limitation of the educational license is that it can't be transferred or sold.

The license is permanent; it does not time out as the educational licenses of many other products do.

When product upgrades are offered, you can upgrade to the new version for a low educational upgrade price, providing that you're still a student/faculty.  You will need to provide the documentation as if you were requesting a new license.

If you decide you wish to convert to a commercial license, the educational license can be upgraded to commercial for the same low price that a commercial user would pay to upgrade their commercial license to the latest version.  Most other products make an educational user pay full price to get to the commercial license. You can do the upgrade to commercial at any time, but if you choose to do it when an upgrade is on offer, then it is a simple matter of buying that upgrade at the commercial upgrade price.

You must be a full time registered student pursuing a degree at a post-secondary educational institution. You must also meet one of the following two conditions:

Enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours and a minimum of a two year degree granting program

OR

Be enrolled in a minimum 9-month certificate granting vocational or career programs.

You must be a full time registered student enrolled in a computer multimedia course or program at a primary or secondary school working toward the completion of a graduation certificate.

You must also have eligible coursework in a computer multimedia course or program that includes graphics, computer animation, CAD, graphics design, desktop video, desktop publishing, web design, computer science, or related course.

You must be a full-time student enrolled in a qualifying program at a NewTek Authorized Training Center program or in a a NewTek approved full-time course with NewTek Certification.

You must be currently being trained on the product that you wish to purchase at the educational price.

The full time course must be instructed by a NewTek Certified Instructor and at a minimum provide a comprehensive overview, in-depth instruction, and sufficient lab time to excel at a product knowledge and proficiency evaluation.

You must be a full time or part time faculty, staff or employee of a qualifying educational institution or authorized training center (please consult your internal purchasing department to verify their ability to purchase NewTek Educational Products, which determines your qualification).

You will need to provide two pieces of documentation.

1) A legible photocopy of current student identification card (both front and back, if applicable) with issue and/or expiration date circled.

2) One of the following:

a) A copy of a current class registration indicating enrollment in a minimum of six (6) credit hours or registration receipt

OR

b) An original letter on official letterhead confirming enrollment in a minimum 9-month certificate granting program signed and dated by an administration official, including a verification contact phone number.

You need to provide two pieces of documentation.

1) Legible photocopy of current student identification card (both front and back, if applicable) with issue and/or expiration date circled.

2) One of the following:

a) A copy of a current class registration indicating enrollment in a qualifying computer multimedia course

OR

b) An original letter on official letterhead stating your student enrollment and class qualifications signed and dated by an administration official, including a verification contact phone number.

Legible photocopy of a dated receipt for a current, qualifying training program at a NewTek Authorized Training Center, indicating paid in full.

AND

An original letter on official letterhead stating you are currently enrolled in a full time program which meets the criteria (as outlined above) for NewTek’s Educational Product program, including the dates of enrollment, program title, total number of hours enrolled, and total payment received. This letter must be signed and dated by the primary NewTek ATC contact person, including a verification contact phone number.

Legible photocopy of current employee identification card (both front and back, if applicable) with issue and/or expiration date circled

AND

An original letter on official letterhead stating your position, time of employment, and your direct supervisor signed and dated by human resources or management representative, including a verification contact phone number.
